There are times that we feel down. In general. Just down. Why?
Irrespective of how good are we with our skills and abilities, and how good our calendar management is, there are times that we feel, not ready?
Emotions affect us in more ways than we know. How we manage them is more important than managing our time and tasks.
Emotions, feelings, moods — they affect us.
We may be in the best of conditions outside, we may be fitting the skillsets more than anyone, however, if we are not feeling ready for the job, we might still end with up with sub-optimal or even no output.
Why do we feel not ready?
Feelings serve the mind, while emotions cater to the body. (And moods, are emotions staying for prolonged periods).
There are four zones of emotions and feeling — but what good is knowing about them?
Why do we need to know about our zone of emotions and feelings?
Since not all zones are helpful in our progress, and for our happiness, we want to come to the state that helps us.
To know what state helps us, we need two things:
- how to recognise the state we are in now (physical, emotional and situational signals), and,
- how to go from one state we are in, to our desired state (what can we do in that situation).
